45th Casentino International Rally: 1st “Riccardo Rossi Ferrini” Journalism Award Established

ARezzo, 4 July 2025 – Scuderia Etruria SCRL, organizer of the 45th Rally Internazionale Casentino, has established the 1st “Riccardo Rossi Ferrini” journalism award, a recognition dedicated to the career of the journalist, who passed away in March. An initiative that will find expression on Thursday 10 July, at 9 pm, in the suggestive setting offered by the Poppi Castle. The award will be presented by Riccardo Rossi Ferrini’s wife, Gabriela, and Guido Rancati, a journalist and writer who has linked his name to international motorsport.

Riccardo Rossi Ferrini was one of the most appreciated journalists of motorsport, elevating his expertise in sectors such as rallies and Formula 1, a discipline that entrusted him, on May 1, 1994, with the chronicle of one of the saddest pages, that relating to the death of Ayrton Senna, experienced as a reporter present at the event. From a prestigious signature of the daily newspaper La Nazione, he was assigned the role of editor of the Empoli editorial office and, subsequently, his career took him to the sports editorial office of Florence.
